NORTHERN Witches & Lughnasadh

Lughnasadh ☆ traditionally celebrated August 1st-2nd for our Northern kin.

After the rich blooming of Summer Solstice comes the first harvest with wicker baskets filled with magickal herbs & resins, whilst the cunning folk chant holy incantations & spells under the bough of the oak tree.

The astrological mid-point / August 7th this year when the Sun reaches 15deg Leo ☉ ♌︎ exactly between the summer solstice & autumn equinox

We gather together to acknowledge our achievements, prosperities & successes of the past seasonal cycle. Sometimes not all of our projects have reached culmination and it is time to find peace within & without in all relationships.

This is symbolically a time of great patience, as nature goes through her cycles of sacrifice & change with the old ways.

ORACLE CARD SPREAD

Ask yourself this question before you pick a card:

☆ This card will indicate what I need to focus on.

☆ This card will act as a guide or support for me.

As the Sun’s strength begins to wane, we reflect on the power & solar vitality that helped make the harvest successful & abundant.

As always when the light fades, something new is birthed in the shadows of the dark.

Stardust blessings…
